The Simple Story
I grew up in Jersey surrounded by people who cooked & baked. An Italian grandmother, a Ukrainian grandmother, and my mother. "Hey, stop over for a chat, pie's just out of the oven".
Everyone enjoying food and being together - good times!
At the table, we take time & life's happenings big & small are heard, a neighbor visits, a fund raiser is a success - yes, magic happens over delicious cheesecake!
My family moved to Vermont where I started Vermont Cheesecake Company in 2004.
A passion for cheesecake and an admiration for local farms combined into the creation of a fresh, pure tasting cheesecake.
Fast forward - my family is back in New Jersey surrounded by authentic food, artisan bakers and farm fresh NJ - love it!
The emphasis remains on pure tasting cheesecake sourced with quality cream, blended cheeses, & local farm free range eggs.
Times change, but this cheesecake recipe remains exactly as it has been for 20 years.
I find joy in baking because someone is enjoying their favorite treat, people are taking time together & happy magic is created over a slice!
